You really can go home...that is if you have the best parents in the world! I am a Grandmother myself, but after a 6 month stay in Phoenix to live and work with my own Daughter, I found myself heading back to Washington to hang out at my parents house while I wait for the Yosemite job to start. Sleeping on a blow up mattress in the "office" was quite comfortable! Late nights my Dad would come up to do his computer stuff, and there we would be, both of us with our head phones on. Mom was almost always crashed out by 9:30pm. But there were some nights when we were watching HGTV that she would be up even until 11!! And the food...wow! I ate and ate well! I like to think I was in the "EAT" portion of the "Eat, Pray, Love" book.
What I learned was that my parents love me unconditionally. I wasn't the best kid growing up, but I am the best kid now. And even though they do silly things, like think I am still their little girl, it's OK. Because it's really nice to be accepted for who you are. Oh and my Brother?? He rocks!!
Thank you, BABY.
